Please take a look at the dates section for special events such as pastel workshops with wolves at the UK Wolf Conservation Trust near Reading, and big cat workshops in Kent at the Wildlife Heritage Foundation. You will get to go into the enclosures with the juvenile wolves, and see just how big the cats are when you're up close at the Wildlife Heritage Foundation.
Of course, cameras are essential, as there are several photo opportunities throughout the days, so you will get plenty of reference photos all of your own.
Welcome to the 'Wildlife in Pastel' workshop website.
Award winning British pet & wildlife artist Vic Bearcroft offers 1,2 & 3 day 'wildlife in Pastel' workshops, which are currently held in Nottinghamshire and at unique venues such as the UK Wolf Conservation Trust in Reading, Berkshire and the Wildlife Heritage Foundation in Kent.
Each workshop concentrates on the use of hard and soft pastels on velour paper.
For beginners and amateur artists, you will gain a wealth of knowledge and experience about using pastels, the different types of pastels, velour paper and how to work with it, and you will take home a piece you will be very proud of.
For more advanced artists, you may wish to get to grips with velour if you have never used it, and learn how to refine detail using pastels.
Vic also offers demonstrations to art clubs, and private one-to-one tuition.
