'WORKSHOP WITH WOLVES'
VENUE: UK WOLF CONSERVATION TRUST
28th July 2008: 15 Place Available

Join award winning British wildlife artist Vic Bearcroft on this special pastel workshop, where you will learn how to paint wolves in pastel on velour paper. You will be painting one of UK WCT’s own wolves from a selected reference photograph, in sight of the wolves themselves. No previous drawing experience is necessary, as the velour paper will have the basic outline printed on, so that you can concentrate on using pastels to create colour, form and texture.
The workshop is suitable for people who have never painted before or advanced artists.
After the workshop, there will be a live auction one of Vic’s limited edition wolf prints, where all proceeds will be donated to UK WCT.
40% from all the proceeds of the workshop will be donated directly to UK WCT, who donate their funds to a variety of projects who help keep wolves in the wild.
Light refreshments will be provided, but please bring a pack-up lunch.
Depending on the weather, there is a wonderful grassed outside area, in full view of the wolves, or if the British weather fails us, we will be using the spacious observation room, with viewing windows.
Places for the workshop will be limited to 15, to ensure individual guidance and tuition.
THE DAY WILL CONSIST OF:
Introduction and talk by UK WCT staff, followed by a visit to meet the wolves
Photo opportunities, your very own reference material!
All tuition and individual guidance throughout the day
All art materials provided
A live auction of a limited edition wolf
print, with all proceeds
donated to UK WCT
MEET TORAK, MOSI and MAI
(below)
Torak, Mai and Mosi, the youngsters at the UK WCT. They are approximately 10 months old now, and socialised to humans.
Hopefully, people attending the workshop will be able to meet this wonderful trio, and also have the experience of not only coming face to face with these amazing creatures, but also the chance to photograph them, enabling you to have your very own reference photo's for future paintings!
We had the privilege of meeting Torak, Mosi and Mai, and it was one of the most amazing experiences ever. Thank you to everyone at the Trust for taking us to meet them, and your hospitality.
Torak is the grey male wolf, and Mosi and Mai are the two black Mackenzie sisters.

Weather permitting, you will spend the day painting right outside the wolf enclosure.
